I build tools that help security teams cut through the noise — fast, reliable, and AI-powered where it counts. At Rapid7, I work across the full stack on a security log intelligence platform. Some highlights from the past year: 🤖 AI Log Explainer — Built an end-to-end AI feature that takes raw security log lines and explains them in plain English, structured around who, what, where, and when. I handled everything from backend API design to frontend integration, and set up full observability with Langfuse (token usage, costs, latency) and Grafana dashboards. 🗂️ Tabbed Log Search — Led the design, implementation, and launch of a tabbed browsing experience for our log search product. Built the backend persistence layer, kept the frontend snappy under load, and owned post-launch monitoring. 🏗️ Toolchain Migration — Migrated our monorepo from Lerna + Webpack to NX + Vite, improving build performance and developer experience across the team. 👥 Team Lead (Jan 2025–present) — Took on full responsibility for inter-team coordination, working directly with PM and UX on roadmap and design, and supporting newer engineers getting up to speed.

Core developer on the “Bebop” full-stack team, primarily responsible for the Log Search frontend in Rapid7's IDR product. Implemented frontend features and enhancements using React, including an AI integration project. Developed and maintained backend services with Spring Boot, including new REST endpoints and feature support. Created and maintained infrastructure using Terraform, including spinning up new services. Owned and led the “Support Hub” service. Regularly responded to and diagnosed support tickets to improve product stability.

Member of the Data Visualisation Team, building report and dashboard interfaces using React. Contributed to the Java Spring backend, fixing bugs and implementing new routes. Gained experience in full-stack development and Agile engineering practices.
